The modern architect
Architects today need not only be good creators but also skilled strategists, with a focus on generating value for their clients. Studio Stockholm Arkitektur is a platform for the modern architect, where the results for our clients are the core of our business.
Our business aim is to be the best architectural partner, understanding and developing our clients’ business, in balance with designing a spatial experience. We are driven by the desire to develop exceptional value-end products for our clients, and are present both as advisors and partners throughout the process, all the way from early strategy and creative design through to the final realisation.
For us, it is not just about applying our own core values, but about working on what delivers the best results and determining how we can achieve them. With each project, we start with a blank page and let our clients’ objectives and brand ambitions determine the development of a project’s path rather than basing it solely on our own architectural taste.
Process before project
In order to maximise our clients’ results, we follow a carefully planned process consisting of three phases. We begin by identifying a project’s challenges as well as its opportunities. Which primary task should we solve? How can we make sure that our client’s business develops? Instead of immediately starting to sketch a solution on the drawing board, we focus on solving the real challenges facing our client’s project. After this is identified, we devise a strategic plan to set out goals, a framework and a clear agenda, only then do we start with the creative design. In the last phase of the process, the project is completed and a product is created. Our projects should always generate a measurable result; defined by the challenge and chosen process; which is always re-evaluated upon completion.
At Studio Stockholm, we tend to work with a process and a product rather than a project. We think that a project undoubtedly has a shorter life with a risk of losing awareness and focus of the real challenge. A product, however, regardless of whether it is a city landscape, a building, interior space or an object, remains long after a project has been completed. We therefore always look beyond a project and focus primarily on the challenge and then on the achieved result.
Studio not office
Most architectural offices operate as traditional offices. We believe more in being a creative studio and consequently, are called Studio Stockholm. We work transparently, without a CEO, not from ideals formed by a specific creative leader, but by employing our common processes and focusing on results.
For us, it is essential to be an open studio, where all employees flourish while working towards a common goal. In our studio, our architects and designers are given the opportunity to work with substantial assignments and to perform a more diligent job, than those working at more traditional architectural offices, with involvement from concept to completion. Everyone in the studio has a large creative responsibility and each individual is considered to be an important personality and key player.
In order to take advantage of all the synergies that exist within the company, we work with no boundaries between colleagues. Everyone has different skills and experiences, and together we form a truly winning team.
The strength of the Studio lies in our collective experiences.
In keeping with the same philosophy, we develop the company together. The studio members participate in strategic workshops which then become the basis for the company’s continued development. We share 10% of the company profits, to ensure that we create a common success and benefit.
Studio Stockholm is convinced that an open organisation inspires the best solutions and encourages a fun and stimulating work environment. Today we come from many different countries working together across borders. When thoughts come together, experiences are shared and individuals come forward, increasing the possibility of producing innovative and value enhancing architecture. This forms the basis of our successful philosophy and is at the core of all our activities.

Together, we are a relatively young office with many international backgrounds consolidating our combined experiences to offer a unique approach to challenging projects.
We have completed projects throughout Sweden, as well as overseas projects, covering the full spectrum of architecture and interior design. Our projects range from small scale product design, interior fit-out and architecture to large scale interior and architectural projects both within the public and private sector.
Within the studio, we work closely together with high ambitions, involving everyone in the ongoing development of the practice and encouraging constant contribution to elevate our stimulating studio culture.
