Along with TAM Group and the Agenturföretagen, we have developed a completely new Showroom concept for Stockholm Showroom in the Stockholm Fashion District and helped more than 90 fashion companies to change their address from Järla Sjö to Nacka Strand. In this complex project, which is a unique combination of offices, showrooms, retail premises and event spaces, we have benefited greatly from our expertise in real estate, retail, trading venues and interior concepts. Furthermore, we have functioned as a hub between property owners, trade associations and tenants.

Challenge
- Persuade over 90 fashion companies to move from their existing showroom/office in Järla Sjö to a new address.
- A very tight schedule.Develop a new showroom concept with 10,000 sqm of permanent showrooms as a supplement to the Stockholm Fashion District in Nacka Strand.
- Create the main meeting spot and business location for the fashion industry in Sweden – a common platform where a mixture of offices, showrooms, meeting spaces, fairs and people can be united.
- Give the building its own identity while also creating conditions for tenants to highlight their individual brands.
- Achieve all this on a limited budget. Match the economic conditions with the fashion industry’s needs and high expectations.
Process
- Develop a comprehensive vision and create a modern interior design concept inspired by galleries and catwalks – designed specifically for the fashion industry and the tenants’ unique needs.
- Create a flexible, economical building that can be adapted to tenants’ various activities, seasons and needs.
- Design a consistent canvas based on dull colours which together with interesting materials and textures will create a conceptual feel with a clear link to the fashion industry – without taking over the tenants’ own strong brand identities.
- Offer tailored solutions to all existing tenants in Järla Sjö.
Result
- A total of 90 new showrooms/offices in an attractive, unified environment were completed in time for occupancy planned for December 2015 for phase 1 and June 2016 for phase 2.
- All showrooms/offices leased – a total of 10 000 sqm.Stockholm Showroom is now an established location and brand in the fashion industry.
