Natur & Kultur’s publishing house nominated for the 2025 ROT Prize!!
We’re proud to share that the transformation of Natur & Kultur’s publishing house has been nominated for the prestigious 2025 ROT Prize.
As both architect and interior architect, Studio Stockholm Arkitektur based our design on the publisher’s identity and Markelius’s design language – with “storytelling” as the conceptual foundation. Special focus was placed on restoring historic details such as the Markelius Hall, and blending traditional materials with modern solutions.
The renovation of Natur & Kultur’s iconic publishing house on Karlavägen in Stockholm – originally designed by renowned architect Sven Markelius and built between 1958 and 1961. Completed in autumn 2024, the project was carried out with deep respect for the building’s architectural heritage, aiming to create a flexible workspace, fit for the needs of today and tomorrow, tailored for a modern publishing house.
Thanks for an amazing collaboration Natur & Kultur , JLL Sverige , Helena Malm , Metrolit , Light Bureau and LAND Arkitektur
