Studio Stockholm Arkitektur has created Sweden’s best designed office 2023 – “Återbrukskontoret” for Fabege is this year’s winner

November 17, 2023

For the fourth time, Studio Stockholm Arkitektur is behind Sweden’s most attractive office. This was announced at yesterday’s event at the Grand Hotel when the prize was awarded to the “Återbrukskontoret” for Fabege, for which Studio Stockholm has acted as both architect and interior architect. Out of ten nominations, Studio Stockholm accounted for four, which has never happened before in the competition’s history.

Yesterday, the prestigious competition Sweden’s most attractive office was decided, which took place this year for the 13th time. The award recognizes the office that best meets the criteria of design, working environment and innovation. This year’s edition broke the record in high competition.

A total of 85 projects were nominated, which together received over 48,000 votes from the Swedish people. When the final votes were counted, “Återbrukskontoret” for Fabege was announced as the winner, for which Studio Stockholm acted as responsible architect.

It is truly a fantastic and honorable feeling that Studio Stockholm once again receives this award, especially for a project with such a strong focus on sustainability. We are proud to have created an office where we not only reused furniture, but also reused actual building products and materials. This reflects our philosophy of combining business understanding with creativity and creating a place that holds both soul and identity,” says Karolina Nyström, interior architect at Studio Stockholm.

I feel great joy and pride at the attention this project has received. It’s not just about the aesthetics of the office, it’s also about the soul of the space that meets you,” says Stefan Dahlbo, CEO of Fabege.

“Återbrukskontoret” in Solna Business Park is a manifestation of Fabege’s commitment to sustainability, where sustainability and reuse are not only the focus but the whole core of the projectIn collaboration with Studio Stockholm, an ordinary office space has been transformed into an environment where every decision was made based on reuse, from the choice of building materials to the choice of furniture. By reusing materials from other Fabege projects, we not only created a reduced climate impact, but also a unique work environment that harmonizes with Fabege’s design concept and sustainability ethos. This office is more than a workplace; It is a showroom and a source of inspiration for future projects, showing how design and environmental considerations can work together in harmony.

Studio Stockholm contributed a total of four projects in this year’s edition of the competition, all of which made it to the finals – Klarna, Cirio Advokatbyrå, Svenska Spel in Visby and “Återbrukskontoret” for Fabege. Previously, Studio Stockholm received the award for the game company Dice in 2016, the game company Kindred in 2019 and the game company King in 2021.
