Challenge

  • An empty space in an outdated prefabricated building with a dated Telecom brand.
  • Worn out technical installations.
  • Structure of a large tenant – hard to rent out.
  • Make the property attractive to medium-small companies.
  • Limited budget and tight schedule.

Process

  • Design a new concept and profile for the building.
  • Repaint the building and create a design that appeals to an ‘80s aesthetic.
  • Rebuild the property to meet modern requirements for office spaces.
  • Give the property a new name based on its geographical location: STHLM SydVäst.
  • Design an inspiring showroom that shows future tenants how they can create a stylish, modern office.
  • Light up the facade – the property to be a landmark facing the E4.
  • Design smaller rooms – allowing for multiple tenants.
  • Studio Stockholm should actively be involved in the hiring process.

Result

  • Very good response – many offices are already leased out.
  • With its optimal location for displaying signs and its proximity to the E4, STHLM SydVäst has become a very strong office location in south-west Stockholm.
  • We have created a product that meets tenants’ needs as well as budget.
  • The showroom has prompted many renters to see the possibility of creating an attractive office on a limited budget.
  • Many local businesses have come together under the new name and profiled themselves as part of STHLM SydVäst.
