Fastighetsvärlden “Hotell & Fastigheter!”

October 18, 2025

A big thank you to Fastighetsvärlden for a packed and inspiring day at “Hotell & Fastigheter”! The outlook is exciting, with many positive signals – but what do the underlying numbers and trends actually say?

Thomas Jakobsson, Chief Economist at Visita – Svensk besöksnäring, and Hans Åke Petersson, CEO at Annordia Hospitality Consulting, provided a clear and very optimistic picture of the market’s current state and future prospects.

Bård Bjølgerud from Colliers offered great insights into the Nordic hotel investment market – a segment where interest is strong, new players are entering, and the focus is shifting toward attractive combinations of returns and creative concepts.

One thing is clear – Stockholm needs more hotels. There’s demand for innovation, international brands, and experience-driven concepts. Dark and moody hotels? Sure. But more importantly, it’s about meeting the needs of today’s increasingly selective guest.

Natalie Aranda from AMF Fastigheter AB and Lise-Lott Söderlund from BSK Arkitekter presented exciting plans for a new hotel in Marievik.

Gert Wingårdh showcased new hotel developments near Hagaparken.

Christian Ringnes Pandox delivered an entertaining and insightful talk – full of both laughter and sharp reflections.

Vanna Gunnarsson from Studio Stockholm Arkitektur nailed what placemaking is really about:
→ Skip the rooftop bar – focus on creating vibrant, inclusive urban spaces.
→ Design screen-free zones, rethink alcohol as a central element, and always build on the location’s unique character and history.

In short: Think synergies. Build flows. Create places where people want to be.The future is bright for those who dare to think differently.

Many thanks to Johannes Wredenmark for capturing the day so nicely, and to Jan Wifstrand for being such a fantastic moderator!Let’s go!
