A big thank you to Fastighetsvärlden for a well-curated event on the theme “Shopping Centers and Retail.”
It’s not easy to predict how we’ll fill our ground floors and shopping centers in the future, or how the numbers will add up when we aim to create safe, vibrant cities filled with culture, music, food & beverage, retail, experiences and services.
But Fastighetsvärlden managed to put together a truly insightful day, bringing together a wide range of voices and perspectives. There may not have been any groundbreaking news, but sometimes it’s just reassuring to see that we’re heading in the right direction – and that many in the industry are working toward the same goal: to create places where people genuinely want to be.
A big thank you to Fastighetsvärlden – and to moderators Lars-Åke Tollemark and Ellinor Persson – for a well-curated event on the theme “Shopping Centers and Retail.” We’re especially proud of Studio Stockholm Arkitektur’s Vanna Gunnarsson, who spoke about how we can create attractive places by understanding the history, building on what already exists, and embracing flexibility in spaces, properties, and concepts.
Several speakers really stood out: • Ann-Katrin Tottie from ICA Gruppen shared valuable insights into future consumer behavior.
• Louise Bergqvist from Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield delivered a spot-on trend analysis.
• Marcus Lindh och Mattias Roussakoff presented Atrium Ljungberg bold visions for Slussen and Slakthusområdet
• Mustafa Sherif from AFRY highlighted the power of place identity in placemaking.
• Daniel Markström from Jernhusen AB shared updates on the development of Sweden’s three major train stations – Stockholm, Gothenburg, and Malmö.
• Anna K. Johansson from TAM Group surprised us with fresh perspectives – including the Labubu phenomenon. Despite gloomy numbers around the economy and public safety, the atmosphere was surprisingly hopeful. The level of energy, ideas and collaboration in the room was inspiring.
Thanks to everyone we had the chance to speak with – looking forward to continuing the conversation!
