Studio Stockholm Arkitektur is developing M28 together with AMF Fastigheter!

May 7, 2025

We are proud to have been entrusted with the development of another property in Marievik. The property Marievik 28 – M28 also known as the Central Building. This contemporary property from the 2000s, designed by Mischa Borowski, DOM, boasts a prime location alongside the water and park. It features a stunning atrium with views of both the water and greenery. Studio Stockholm is already the concept architect for Kakelhuset -M23, and we are excited to now take on another one of the area’s characterful buildings.

“Marievik is undergoing an exciting phase of development where AMF Fastigheter is taking a comprehensive approach to the area, developing the properties with care for the existing architecture and its unique character. Studio Stockholm is the obvious choice in this work – a partner that contributes strong identities and well-considered solutions that enhance the soul of the place,” says Charlotta Rosén, Project Manager for Marievik.

Our ambition is to refine the unique qualities of M28 and to open up the ground floor, bring more life and activity – with outward-facing businesses that strengthen the identity and accessibility of the building.

“Working with existing buildings and making use of their unique characteristics to meet today’s demands is absolutely the right approach – both from a sustainability and design perspective. This is also a fantastic collaborative project, where AMF Fastigheter truly deserves credit for the thorough workshop process that helps create a strong and distinctive whole,” says Vanna Gunnarsson, Lead Architect at Studio Stockholm.

We look forward to continuing shaping the future of Marievik – with architecture that stands the test of time.
