King hires Studio Stockholm to design their new Stockholm office
Press Release, October 23, 2019
Earlier this autumn, it became known that King, one of the world’s leading mobile gaming companies, is moving its Stockholm office to Sergelhuset 2 in central Stockholm. Studio Stockholm has been appointed by King to develop a new concept for their 11,500sqm of office space. The office will occupy the top six floors of the property and have its own street-level entrance. The Studio’s work includes concept development for the new premises as well as an examination and development of working methods and a fit-outwork environment.
– The new environment will play an important role when we take Candy Crush to new heights and create even more magical gaming experiences for our hundreds of millions of players around the world, but also when we explore and develop new gaming concepts. We are convinced that Studio Stockholm will help us take the office to the next level, says Tjodolf Sommestad, development manager at King.
Studio Stockholm is behind NetEnt’s (2017) and Avalanche Studios’ (2015) head offices, as well as the head office for Dice (2016), where now, three years later, they’ve been given renewed confidence to develop the office further in order to meet new demands on the work environment.
Cushman & Wakefield has acted as tenant representative in the negotiation and will initially act as project manager in the project. Vasakronan owns the property at Sergelhuset 2 where King is expected to move in in the autumn of 2020.
